@Sen_Alsobrooks So I take it you’re on the left…weren’t you guys the party of “trust the science” a few years ago. The amount of hostile preaching I’ve heard from the left is ridiculous. It’s almost like you’re trying to cover up your awful handling of American health over the past 40 years.
@Channel2Suu @AZgator43 You just disproved your own point with this. If any other conference had 5 diff nc’s you’d sing their praises. Five different Natty’s from the same league in 25 years is elite.
@TJ_Pittinger Tennessee getting blown out and not being as deserving as we thought as well as South Carolina being more deserving than SMU can both be true. Based of off of common opponents.
@TimBrando Tennessee getting blasted by OSU proves just this. They played a fairly weak schedule, but beat Alabama. Of every team who was left out, I say South Carolina had the biggest gripe. Simply because of growth. A typical middle of the road program that learned to win on the fly.
@TimBrando I think we’re just looking at this wrong Tim. Yes, I’m a S. Carolina fan, we lost three games. But if the regular season matters it’s hard to wrap my head around SMU and Clemson being deserving of a spot. I’m good with the auto-bid. But you have to beat good teams.
@ZBumThrows@clh_strength And? Still beat the ACC champ. Which is what we’re trying to do right? Settle it all on the field. See who the best team is at the end of the year.
@TimBrando@Vol_Football@SMUFB@IndianaFootball@SEC Tim, I think it’s hard to look at Clemson and SMU and say they were deserving. The single reason is Clemson losing at home to S. Carolina. I think SEC fans can take a tennessee beat down, but that doesn’t make the take on Clemson and SMU any less true.
@Clemson_Addict The issue you’re going to run into with your argument is always going to be that loss against South Carolina. If you’d have won that, maybe the heat falls somewhere else.
@MrOH1O I mean, last night you guys played like most of the country thought you would prior to losing against Michigan. And that’s not a dig. You guys are the best team in the country when you play like you should. It’ll be fun to see how the rest of the playoff plays out
@pghjoker @finebaum@Lane_Kiffin 1. It’ll all play out. And we will see
2. Tennessee losing to OSU doesn’t make Clemson, SMU, or Indiana more deserving of a spot.
3. Who you play has to matter
@ZBumThrows@clh_strength It was settled on the field. Clemson lost to S. Carolina the week before selections…clemson beat SMU. How are Clemson and SMU worthy? SC had won 6 straight, and 5 of those six wins were ranked. Talk about growth during the season.
@SeminOLDschool Well sort of…if the entire conference got beat like that…like the ACC did. Then maybe. But totally fair to call out one team for not belonging.
@coach_jeffscott You can’t get rid of the automatic qualifier. For instance this year. No way clemson gets in after losing to Carolina. AQ guarantees the ACC always has a back door in the playoff.
