Most welcome emails get ignored.
Not because email is dead.
But because the writing sounds like a robot sent it.
So I tested this myself.
Built a landing page, a sign-up flow, and a full welcome sequence.
Then tracked everything.
Here's what happened...
And that realisation changed everything.
The people making money online weren’t chasing money.
They were solving problems.
Now I see myself differently:
I’m a copywriter because I solve real problems businesses have.
What problem do you want to be known for solving?
Something weird happened to me last night.
I was staring at my laptop, note and pen in hand, analysing an email that caught my attention.
Then my mind drifted.
“What’s my actual motivation for being a copywriter?”
It clicked.
I just wanted money.👇🏼
Silence is the most productive thing I do.
Just sitting alone and staring.
No phone. No distraction.
Just me, nature, and my thoughts.
And no, I’m not bored.
Silence clears my mind, helps me recalibrate, and sharpens my focus.
Anyone else like me?
Quick Copywriting Tip
Use short sentences.
They make your writing faster and easier to read.
Even one or two word sentences are good.
Like this.
See?
Though mix them up with longer sentences or your writing can feel monotonous.
Imagine you’re handed a brand and told:
“Figure out how this brand should sound.”
I’d ask 4 things:
Who are we talking to?
What 3 words describe us?
Who do we NOT want to sound like?
What’s our one big belief?
Answer those, and the voice becomes clear.
Sometimes, you just have to try.
Even when you don't have all the qualifications.
Even when you don't feel ready.
You might surprise yourself.
Just have the guts to try.
Never underrate yourself.

Quick Copywriting Tip
Don't be timid.
Confidence sells.
So not:
• We think this might possibly help with some of your issues.
Instead:
• This will solve your problem.
I save them for inspiration.
Sometimes I borrow the structure, the angle or just the idea behind it.
I’m not copying their words.
Just stealing what made the copy work and making it mine.
I was reading one of my old emails and remembered how I “stole” someone’s subject line and made it my own.
Before you side eye me,
I have a swipe file.
Subject lines, Hooks, Emails, Ads. Anything I see that makes me stop and think, “Damn, that’s good.”
Copywriting has ruined the way I look at content.
Seconds into a video, my brain is already going:
“Where is the hook?”
“That should’ve been the hook.”
“Don’t just list the features. How does this benefit me?” 😭
Now I watch content and analyse the copy too.
You open your fridge at 11pm and there's barely anything inside.
Just half a bottle of water, some leftover rice, and that one sauce you forgot existed.
You're hungry, but suddenly ordering food sounds like the best idea in the world.
