@aardraa5@LevinaNeythiri Oh, you too? I thought I was just being paranoid. What I was thinking of making for lunch, would appear in my YouTube feed within minutes!
@XGuruManoj@chaarulataa This is the depiction of the elephant worshipping Shiva as Jambukeshwara, in the Tiruvanaikkaval temple in Tiruchi. An exact stone carving can be found in the temple.
@aravind@WokePandemic I agree with @WokePandemic about increase in thyroid dysfunction due to excess iodine. Iodised salt is needed in hilly regions with prevalence of goitre. But in the 70s it was pushed to all regions. Coastal regions have iodine in the water and air. Excess iodine is toxic too.
@Tushar15@thevirdas One of the reasons why they post on X after turning off comments. They get the validation from their echo chambers without having to deal with facts.
My latest #TharoorThink column in the @IndianExpress explains why I have not joined the widespread liberal critique of the Indian government’s “moral failure” to condemn the US-Israeli attack on Iran. India has too much at stake to indulge in the morally gratifying grandstanding that could have placed vital national interests at risk. As the late Kofi Annan advised me, citing a Ghanaian proverb: “never hit a man on the head when you have your fingers between his teeth!”
sometimes i wonder if those scientists read the Puranas and then come up with theories...
like the age of the universe... from 6000 years scaled up to some 4.5 billion. (they probably mixed up the 4.32 billion lifespan of universe of which around 2 billion have passed according to Puranas)
or how they discovered that there are above 8 million species on earth. ancient India said 84 lakhs (8.4 million)
and yes, HUGE oceans are described, too.
Does one necessarily need to be 'excellent,' when the average ones have a better deal from life?

#mediocrity#Average#excellence
@AbhishBanerj Yes, well orchestrated and timed. And the kind of personalities jumping into the fray speaks volumes too. I think you forgot to put 'liberal' within quotes.
Delhi Blast: The White-Collar Jihad And Politics Of Silence https://t.co/ORgM42Z95R
It couldn't have been said better. The truth couldn't be starker. Must read. @FreezingHindoo#RedFortBlast#DelhiBlast#TerrorStrike
The Delhi blast exposed an old truth: the threat is not limited to the men who build the bombs, but to the silence that shelters them and the stories invented to make sense of their violence.
My latest for Swarajya Magazine.
