Make Istighfar a daily habit.
It cleanses your sins, brings barakah to your life, strengthens your health, increases your wealth, and makes your path smoother in ways you never imagined.
Don’t rush to think bad of people. If you’re not sure, say “I’m not sure.” Unless you saw it with your own eyes, don’t assume. Even if you did see it, remember: everyone makes mistakes. Make dua for them instead.
Your money problems aren’t financial… they’re spiritual
• Surah Nuh: istighfar = “wealth and children”
• Surah Talaq: taqwa = “provision from where you never expected”
• Surah Ibrahim: gratitude = “I will increase you”
The formula was always in the Quran.
I left Nigeria in 2020 and some of the friends I left are now millionaires, one is even a billionaire. Some of you have a small mindset that you think people working warehouse night shifts abroad have made it in your eyes.
Don’t dwell on how privileged you are. It’s how you end the journey that matters. Strive to live a life that endears you to your Creator. Everything else is secondary. Keep asking for a good end. May Allah Almighty take us when He’s most pleased with us.
You may find it hard to be grateful and to thank the Almighty when you’re going through a struggle. But give thanks as He strengthens you even more. That’s your real test.
We’re not perfect. We sin, we falter and make mistakes but we do our best trying to please You. Almighty. We ask You to accept the deeds we do solely for Your sake. Forgive our shortcomings. We will never lose hope in Your Mercy. Aameen.
I did three months with Moniepoint and resigned... I resigned and I'm not proud enough to have it on my CV.
Moniepoint employee relations and welfare doesn't equate the hype they move with.
A brother sent me a message this morning, and I could sense how distressed he is. He is struggling because his wife has adopted the narratives that are usually echoed by feminists.
She sees Islamic and traditional roles as a system to subdue and disadvantage women. This shift from a shared family ecosystem to a model of individual competition is the root of so much pain today. Our parents did not have perfect lives, but they understood that a marriage is a community victory.
Today, we are told that our own happiness is the only thing that counts, which turns the home into a place of negotiation instead of a place of rest.
When you use the language of political activism to talk to your spouse, you lose the peace that the Quran describes. It is not possible to find tranquility when one person is always looking for signs of being oppressed instead of being loved.
Another thing I have noticed in recent times is how this generation of ladies/women carry past hurts. In fairness to some, they need thorough healing, while some purposefully use it as a shield to avoid the hard work of building a solid character.
Even though I argue that those wounds are real, but they often use them to justify being difficult. That was not the way of our parents.
Our grandparents were tough and they knew that marriage needs a level of endurance and overlooking faults that our modern world hates.
We have forgotten that men and women are wired differently. And adopting feministic activism which tries to force us into identical molds creates a friction that burns the house down. If we remain more loyal to our personal ideologies and defensive boundaries than to the project of the soul that is marriage, we will keep seeing these broken stories.
You know the most unpopular one? People now spend millions on the party, yet they forget the souls of the people they want to bring together. Unfortunate💔
In the coming weeks in Sha Allah I’ll be employing at least 100-150 youths and women for various positions so stay close 😉. Masu yin mu suyi mu su masu kin mu koh sun so oho 🤷🏽♂️
The first step to telling is to stop thinking you can tell her yourself. You need to go back to the doctor at LASUTH and let a professional explain the medical reality. You are the mother and you should be the safe place, not the one to deliver a medical verdict that feels like a sentence. That is not your role.
Let the doctor handle the facts and you can focus on being the one who holds her while she cries. Again, you must be honest about why you waited. Tell her you were scared for her and that you were trying to protect her. This makes the delay an act of love she can genuinely understand.
Another thing you can do is to frame it in the alternatives. What do I mean? Make I believe she is built differently from others. Let her know that her path to motherhood will be different. Also, engage the service of therapists to help you navigate the griefing process.
The scar will be there, but a scar is a sign something is healing. Let her be angry and let her grieve. Do not try to fix the pain with empty words. Your role is to be there so she knows she is whole and she is loved.
Lastly, let her understand the virtues of trials and patience and make her see it as part of what the Almighty uses to grant his slaves eternal enjoyment. There is more to life, and she can only get better going forward. May the Almighty grant her his mercies.
Wherever life takes you, just be kind. Never mind if it’s not reciprocated. Do it for the sake of the Almighty and watch how your life takes on a different turn.
Dear Parents,
1.Never compare your kids to anyone else. It tells them they aren't enough and breeds bitterness.
2.Never make your love feel like a transaction. They shouldn't have to earn a hug or your attention.
3.Never make threats you don't mean. It makes your word worthless and you lose your authority.
4.Never discipline them in public. It doesn't teach a lesson, it just causes deep shame.
5.Never use labels like "stupid" or "useless." Those words will become their inner voice for life.
6.Never tell them their feelings are silly. If a broken toy is a tragedy to them, respect that pain.
7.Never lie to them just to get some peace. You are trading away their trust for a few minutes.
8.Never make your adult stress or money problems their burden. Let them be children.
9.Never expect them to act like adults. Their brains are still growing and they will be messy.
10.Never stop praying for them. Your prayer is the strongest shield they have in this cold world.
