Mikey is 14. A Chihuahua with a bad heart and more fight in him than most people I know.
He's doing great right now. Meds are working. Prognosis is good. He's happy.
I'm the problem.
I've sold everything I own to stay afloat. I'm unemployed, still recovering from a stroke and a ruptured disc, and completely out of runway.
We've kept him stable through sheer stubbornness and the kindness of strangers — but we need help to keep going.
This isn't about saving a dying dog. It's about keeping a thriving one exactly where he is.
He never left my side through any of it. I'm not leaving his.
