@ve96359 @clashreport Good point. We are talking about the past. Because the whole discussion is about "US paid for European security". Besides that, US needs global dominance. You believe you don´t need Europe because you think you own it. But once China is main player in Europe.....

@ve96359 @clashreport Of course it is. US needs influence in Germany, France, Italy or UK. With global hegemony US had huge influence on domestic politics in european countries. US "shaped" many decisions by soft power in Europe.

You have to adapt, cooperate and change. Small nations can not compete or face threats from US, Russia or China (war, EV, AI, tariffs,etc.) alone.

@EstherD08231206 @MosiniElisa You are wrong. World is different. EEC times are gone. In the past european countries were strong due to colonial heritage and industry. China was non-existent. US was a friend. Contemporary politics is totally different. Your sentiment is stronger than your reason.
