@JGillRay @applnokr @RichardHanania I know it sounds high, that's what makes it so absurd. We've spent $2.26 trillion in Afghanistan since 2001, and this number came from the Pentagon.

Had we left there after 5 years later, the Taliban would have done the same thing then. We know this because we didn't pull out 5, 10, or 15 years ago, and still this happened today.
