Very sorry for the struggle you have gone through, it is tough to be alone. I don’t know you personally but I support you and will pray for you from afar.
I am LDS and I am used to a number of people being kind and supportive outside of my faith, but also a large number of people who are very negative about my faith and say things that are not true. The most disappointing ones are people who should be fellow Christians with whom we share 98% of beliefs in common. I hope you are led to a happy result of your faith journey and out of your dilemma.
@nicoraytruth Christian faiths should focus on the 98% of things they agree on and not on the 2% of things they disagree on. If they did that and work together instead of fighting, the world would be a far better place.
@RealRyanNichols It’s a long term strategy to solve and entrenched problem which takes a lot of time and work on the ground. No one I know has put that much time into this plan (that I know of) before Scott Presler. It hasn’t worked cause it hasn’t been done. Have faith brother.
That is a good point, I do believe the most Christians churches are really awesome and would help me in a lot of ways. I should clarify I did have a period of inactivity where I was not attending or active and separate but we don’t think we are not members anymore unless I formally left and joined another faith so i have attended other church’s meetings and they were great I just prefer mine and feel that it helps me the most. I would be happy to attend other churches if invited or for intra faith meetings ect…
@japan_nobunaga There is no shame in struggling, we all do. Family structures, community and society exist for a reason humans need each other for support. Don’t be embarrassed about getting help.
Most men lead lives of quiet desperation - Henry David Thoreau.
It’s not necessarily what it can do, I think that might be clear to most everyone. Instead is putting a lot of power into the hands of people in government which could be used in very bad ways. These same positions/people have done very bad things in the past and can’t even be trusted with a budget without copious fraud, abuse and waste. What makes me thing they will use this power correctly and start putting criminals and violent offenders in prison now that they have cameras everywhere? They don’t even do that now! Show me you are honest and competent first and then we will talk about flock cameras.
I think it’s pretty clear from the video he meant the upkeep and maintenance/need for renovation was ‘disgraceful’ as it is such a monumental place of importance to drop the ball on the maintenance. Overtime you lose credibility if you just have one idealology of “I must hate and oppose trump”.
I want in order:
1) The SAVE act
2) ban on congressional individual stock trading
3) term limits
4) balanced budget requirements (for any new spending you would have to allocate funds from fraud/waste/abuse or reallocate with no new taxes or spending)
5) ban flock cameras - humans were not meant to be filmed constantly it does bad things to you. Just look at Britney Spears in the early 2000s, also that amount of powerful information in the wrong hands could lead to spying, corruption, blackmail ect…
So it’s on the list just further down.
