@ACooper1991@JimIkeHW I don't even think he's an NHL caliber player. Taking the time to work with him, at best he become a bottom six forward. I don't like Wright either, but at least I can see a path to into a top six role. Lambert has shown nothing to this point to make me want to waste time on him
@ACooper1991@JimIkeHW His draft stock at this point doesn't mean anything. He's struggled at the Pro level. Bellows was killing it at the lower levels to be willing to give him a shot a few years ago. I'm not even confident Lambert is a center at the NHL level
@JimIkeHW If he had the potential of being a top six forward then yes. But even if he turns it around, I only see a bottom six center at best. Just a waste of time imo
@SuitableAlias Not to absolve Danny, but I doubt MM39 would've listened to any extension if he was approached after last season's results. He knows the number is only going to go up when he kills it this season
@hessler_ben@xXDarkByDesignX I would say right now Edvinsson is basically York but big. Difference is Edvinsson is getting better while York has basically plateau the past few season. So he is what he is now
@xXDarkByDesignX I agree, but most GMs tend to over value their young NHL players because they're afraid they'll breakout once they trade them and they'll look stupid. Flyers are no different unfortunately
@xXDarkByDesignX It just comes down to what other teams want. We have plenty of 1st round picks and future prospects to trade. But if they want young NHL players, outside of Martone and MM39, not a ton of value there
@TheLibertyYell@happy2bherethnk@jamsmand@JeffSi5000@SuitableAlias@NastyKnuckles Based on expectations, yes it was a sophomore slump. I still believe he'll be the best player on this team. You expect Tippett to get around 50 points for a good season. Around 50 points for MM39 is a disappointment. Otherwise what are we doing here
@ADiMarco25 I think Flyers to get away from the 1-3-1. I say go with a 2-1-2 with some motion instead.
Martone MM39
TK
Drysdale Z
Z and Martone can walk up and down the wall while the other players adjust accordingly based on space/options
@nastyflyergirl@AdamN916@charlieo_conn It's been reported that Berglund had some "unfinished business" with Farjestad BK. Which I translate as he wants to try and win with them. Similar to a college player want to go back another year and win before jumping to the NHL/AHL
@AdamN916@charlieo_conn He was always eligible to play in the AHL since the his draft year. NHL doesn't have a deal with international teams as they do with CHL.
@justinghockey I mean, would MM39 even want to sign a long term contract after the season he had? I would imagine even if Danny wanted to sign him, he would say no, he wants to bet on himself
@PHLY_Flyers With McDonald, he probably wants a one-way contract instead of a two-way contract so he can get paid the same no matter if he's NHL or AHL. It's simply how much actual money he'll earn depending on where he's playing
@Flyerfan2815@JimIkeHW I mean of course. Anyone that's not 39 or 94, I drive them to airport myself and pay for their flight. CBJ is trading their franchise cornerstone player, I would think they'd need at least 1 very high value asset back. Requesting a trade shouldn't lower his value
