@EV_Trapper Always go the simplest route possible.
3D printing is simple, and can be a solution to a lot of use cases.
IMO it’s still underrated in the industry.
You’re letting your Ego sabotage you.
Lower the intensity of an activity as much needed.
Can’t finish a 20min workout?
Drop it to 10min.
Can’t even do 10min?
Drop it to 1 min.
Just show up.
Consistency compounds over time.
@emm0sh I’m happy that I didn’t have some massive success before 25.
When I look back, all those goals/wishes would lead me in a totally different direction.
I thought that I knew what I want.
But now, I see that I didn’t have a clue.
You overlook one big thing great engineers have.
It's not (Only) technical skills.
It's reliability.
Great engineers follow through on things they say and tasks they start.
Sometimes it's more important that someone can count on you, than the technical skills you have.
At the university I've got used to studying, but there was no applied knowledge gained.
In the first year I've worked on actual projects on my work, I learned more in 1 year, than in a few years in University.
Projects are the best learning tool.
How to master any skill fast:
- stop studying
- outline a project
- start building it
- hit a roadblock
- figure out how to overcome it
- repeat 4 and 5 for the rest of your life
Most people don't get past 1, the rest spiral into complacency after 4.
There is no better social media app than @X .
Every time I spend time on it, I leave inspired to build something great.
Other apps just make me want to lie down on a couch, and doom scroll.
@bhalligan I don’t believe that there is “Unkind” Truth.
Being sincere to someone can be the best thing that happened to them.
It might seem harsh, but looking at the bigger picture, it’s the best thing.
@emm0sh I don’t want to retire ever.
Drinking margaritas on a beach can be fun for a few weeks, but then what?
I want sprints of intense, meaningful work and rest, until my last breath.
Yesterday’s and today’s work was fun.
I built a mini PLC test station.
We needed to test some sensors before installing them on a station.
Used this opportunity to build a foundation for further expansion, like pneumatic or motor control.
Manufacturing in Europe needs to wake up.
Legislation in the EU should make it easier, not harder to be a manufacturer in Europe.
Manufacturing built Europe up.
It can do it again.
