Cyberpunk: Edgerunners creator Bartosz Sztybor says Season 1 actually had a “happy ending”, at least from his perspective.

The finale is obviously bruta, but Sztybor says things could have ended much worse for David, he could have survived only to become an unwilling tool of Arasaka.

“I mean, in a way, because it could end so much worse,”

He also believes some of the characters were simply too tragic for their stories to end differently.
