An Anti-Trump protest in Chicago.
These should be peacefully taking place all over the country.
This is what democracy is about, not storming Capitol buildings. Right MAGA?
Ro Khanna on Elon Musk: “I’m not gonna be intimidated by this guy. I’m less concerned about me, I’m more concerned the world’s richest person possibly sentenced the poorest people in the world to their death. He’s scared because he knows the Democrats could win back the House, he knows we’ll have the subpoena power, and he finally is gonna have to answer for these cuts”
I'm not running for office. But if I were, these are some of the lessons I'd take away from what happened in NY yesterday.
1. Authenticity is measurable. Voters can smell a focus group from a mile away.
2. Endorsements from the current Democratic leadership now read like warnings. The establishment wing of the party is no longer a sword. It's a question mark.
3. Conviction beats caution. The candidates who said hard things about rent, about who pays for what, about Gaza, they won. The triangulators lost.
4. Cost of living is everything. Everything else is wallpaper.
5. The middle is not a strategy. It's an empty room. Voters reached past the establishment to grab someone who actually believes something.
6. Don't fear the base. Court it. The Democrats who ran from their own voters lost. The ones who ran toward them won.
7. If you want to lead a party you have to be willing to fight inside it. Mamdani didn't ask permission. He took the field.
The lesson under the lessons: the country is tired of being managed. People want to be led.
🚨 WOW! CNN's Harry Enten exposes a massive collapse for the White House. Donald Trump suffered a mind-blowing 60-point drop on inflation approval.
He confirms Trump is officially underwater on the economy even among his own 2024 voters. Total failure!
So…. Looks like they’re going to have to dissemble this stage here at Statuary Hall in the Capitol
Trump has cancelled his signing of a housing bill… which truly jams up his fellow Republicans who wanted to campaign on it
They’ve asked us NOT to take photos
This take will age as poorly as his Jalen Brunson hate. Nobody asked you unc go slap fight with grandma Skip Bayless and swim in a pool of your $90 million net worth.
Kyle Kulinski: “We’re motherfucking back y’all. Our tea party moment is here. It’s only gonna become a bigger and bigger wave. The right is gonna pretend like, ‘oh, thank you for making our lives easier, now we’re gonna defeat all of you.’ Oh really? Buckle up, bitch. We’re not apologetic and don’t agree with you on any of the fucking issues because you’re wrong about everything. You’re the party of rape and pedophilia and terrorism. I don’t want to hear from the Epstein Party that we’re extreme”
Mamdani (vs. other Dems) is far closer to where Dems are on Israel.
-Dems now heavily sympathize with the Palestinians vs. Israelis (a 47 pt shift in 2.5 years to the Palestinians).
-Now 53% (vs. 34% in 2024) say AIPAC backing makes them less likely to vote for a candidate.
Mike Johnson: "This is not a joke. We are in a fight right now to save the republic and every American needs to take this seriously. You need to wake up. This upcoming midterm is not the midterm elections of years ago. This is gonna decide the direction of the country. Are we gonna maintain our status as a constitutional republic on our 250th anniversary?"
Trump says he won't sign a landmark housing affordability bill that passed with overwhelming bipartisan support, citing his stalled voting legislation. Follow live updates. https://t.co/oNNOtFCYqw
Trump: A friend of mine is a very big real estate developer, but he's got a problem with speaking in front of crowds. He chokes, you know, he chokes like a dog. Most of you have heard of him, he can barely walk. He destroys people.
