so.. its been 5 hours since this post, and the page is still broken.
someone in the comments had joked that “it’s outside business hours in europe and therefore it’d have to wait till tomorrow
and i had told myself: “no way this’d stay like this till tomorrow..” 👀
you've encountered a bug
i'm on the same screen, i can delete ssh based connections (without even going into "edit mode") simply by swiping left
in fact, if i tap edit, a "red minus" appears on each entry, allowing me to delete by tapping (instead of swiping)
you're on the screen where it should work, you're not missing anything (except the delete button)
@benjitaylor The number of items you’ve implemented, the frequency of implementation, and the quality are increasing rapidly, and honestly, I really like that.
With small but sweet and thoughtful touches, X is becoming a more delightful product every week.
The same issue applies to recurring meetings too.
Here’s what often happens:
Person A has a question about Topic X.
Instead of asking right away on Teams/Slack, they wait for the meeting.
Why?
Because if they ask immediately, they get the answer immediately.
Sounds good, right?
Not always.
Because then, in the actual meeting, they have nothing left to “report.” Even worse, it makes it obvious that Topic X was waiting on them, not the other way around.
But if they wait for the meeting, the story looks different:
Person A has a question about Topic X.
Person A waits until the meeting.
In the meeting, they ask Person B.
Person B answers.
Person A says, “Great, I’ll continue with that.”
And suddenly, they look involved.
They look like they were “working on it.”
But in reality, they were just holding the question until it became socially useful.
why stop at 8?
there can never be a better advertisement campaign than just turning on the live-stream and keeping it on indefinitely
just plug the robot to electricity (so you don’t have to pause for battery swaps) and give it a line of products to process that just circles back infinitely
it’d become an internet sensation overnight after only a few hours.. imagine seeing the live-stream that has been turned on since like the last week..
and the robot just keeps on going.. no faults, no errors, no malfunctions..
that’s what would make me buy one!
isn’t this like the light bulbs when they showed like “3 watts = 60 watts” or something?
meaning, “we’ll get you to a brightness that you’d typically get with a traditional 60 watt lightbulb”
This Anker ad is great because they start off with a crazy claim that makes no sense, then when you actually click on the ad. They don’t tell you how 160 = 210
If you're planning a purchase, make sure to check the MacRumors Buyer's Guide to see if a refresh is coming soon. It updates continually based on past refresh timelines, so the information is always accurate.
Right now, it's a bad time to buy an Apple TV, iPad, iPad mini, and HomePod mini.
this take really forgets about the “online” part of gta.. where the actual milking will happen..
remember when the financial details of rockstar had been leaked? remember the monthly recurring revenue they were getting from a 15 year old ps3 game, just from the online part?
and all they had to do was to release a new car model or something (literally a week of work for a 3 people team?) every month and that’s enough to let those kids drain their parents’ wallets like there was no tomorrow
With a budget believed to be well over a billion dollars, GTA 6 will have to be one of the best selling games of all time just to break even. https://t.co/xBbKb5LKKb
it’s long enough that i am not even considering playing gta 7, like ever.. i don’t think it’s going to happen
in fact, i keep reminding my friends: play it well, because this may really be the last gta you ever will be able to..
How long do y’all think the wait will be between GTA 6 and 7?
I am thinking sometime in 2040 for GTA 7 if GTA 6 gets a similar 13 year lifecycle, though that fully depends on how well GTA 6 Online goes and what SP game they make in-between.
It’s likely I’ll have kids by then😭
this is true
especially on the apple ecosystem (ios, macos, ipados etc.) if you just type - twice, you’ll get — automatically so it’s quite normal to have it
but when you use it, people will think you’re an ai..
a wake up call for the industry
it has begun, and the barrier of entry to these tools are now at their lowest ever
you can no longer trust photos for any kind of evidence
what awaits us now? a video of your food being undercooked? and how long till it’s no longer reliable either?
So after a lifetime of assuming that I had been accidentally hitting some esoteric hotkey, I just found out that there is a bug on mac OSX where the audio balance random pans left or right during heavy CPU load, that has been unsolved for at least 15 years. lol.
