Ben Stokes will meet with his advisors on Wednesday to decide on his future, with the ECB giving England's Test captain room to weigh up his options amid fears he could retire from international cricket.

Retirement remains a live issue, but there is optimism that Stokes has cooled on that nuclear option.

Offered the chance to resign on Monday, the 35-year-old may yet take the chance to step down and carry on through to the end of his central contract, in 2027, after the next Ashes.

He could also opt to relinquish the captaincy and take an indefinite break from the game.

For now, Stokes and Atkinson are expected to incur a suspension and fines, perhaps even ruling them out of the rest of the New Zealand series.

Very much an integral part of FA courses over past 6 years. Non necessarily called NLP, but CLA promoted in delivery and NLP in all but name. Does an U8 volunteer mum/dad need to know and understand the phrase "non linear pedagogy"? Probably not.

Is there evidence that Nonlinear Pedagogy (NLP) via CLA has found its way in coaching courses across football associations? It appears to me that coaches stumble upon it either through learning curiosity or simply by accident.

Sadly, throughout football this will be completely ignored. Players will be 'beasted' in the belief it will 'get them fit'. These 'beastings' will involve a huge amount of non-football specific physical work, and pushing players to work when already fatigued. 🤦

Exactly Luke. We may win nothing this year, but the progress is clear. Two semi-final (minimum) and a squad with vast strength in depth in many positions. I was sceptical about GS shift to a defensive style (given the attacking talent) but he's been 100% right thus far.

This is the best England “Team” I’ve seen in my lifetime. Don’t want to get carried away but it’s exciting to be an England fan at the moment. We are getting better and most of this group will be together for the next 5-10 years.

@MattJohnsonPE Game of opinions Matt, I don't think he played well. He scored (THE most important fact/stat) and good early shot, but IMO he lacked effectiveness. Lots of runs/dribbles resulting in zero end product. Interesting what data says, appeared to give ball away/lose possession a lot.
