@5SolasMissy Calvinist: God only saves a small select amount of his creatures. The rest he refuses to save. This brings him glory.
Bible: "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."
@DrFrankTurek Maybe the earth dates or looks older because it was created aged/mature on day 1?
When the animals, trees, etc were made, were they fully mature? Adam was, so why can't the earth appear mature too yet technically be young?
@Psychobobicus@god_came_down@Soteriology101@DineshDSouza You already know how I view John 6 and how there is another way outside of monergism to rightly divide it.
The Bible clearly teaches God is love, just, kind, mercy, gracious and tells man to humble himself. These all contradict monergism, no idea how you think it's the truth.
@Psychobobicus@god_came_down@Soteriology101@DineshDSouza The point is not salvation here, the point is the ability for someone to humble themselves without regeneration or God intervening in them.
National Israel are unregenerate humans, told to be humble. There is no way around this.
@David051661@Soteriology101 Yes, He came to His own, but they received Him not (John 1:11), so He used Israel, "marred" and partially hardened them, as He did Pharaoh, to bring salvation to the Gentiles (see Romans 11).

This is what repentance is, in the Greek it means to "change ones mind". God doesn't do this. The sinner must do this, this is why Jesus commanded them in Mrk 1:15 to "repent" and then what? "believe" both in the "active" voice.

This was the whole point of John the baptist, the forerunner to Christ to prepare the people's hearts (Matthew 3:3) so they could receive and believe on Him. As you can see, the heart position must be aligned properly or a person won't hear/see to believe.
@David051661@Soteriology101 The Potter in Jeremiah 18 will still use the marred clay but it is the clay's choice to be marred, their outcome could be different if they repent (v. 8). In other words, marred clay doesn't go to waste, the Potter will still use it for His purposes.
@Psychobobicus@god_came_down@Soteriology101@DineshDSouza Yes, humility. This is why Israel rejected their Messiah. This is all throughout the Bible Old and New, we are told to humble ourselves.
Grace is only given to the humble:
”God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5
@Psychobobicus@god_came_down@Soteriology101@DineshDSouza By humility. Only one soil "heard and learned", the one with a "honest and good" heart. God tells us to prepare our soil, it is our responsibility so we can have ears to hear (Hosea 10:12, Jer 4:3).
@bkv0123@TRobinsonNewEra I looked it up. It is "convert to *Catholicism", not Christianity.
Historically Christians have never done this as Jesus set the example to love others, even our enemies.
@Psychobobicus@god_came_down@Soteriology101@DineshDSouza Furthermore, I agree 100% success rate. Those that truly hear spiritually would learn and then guaranteed would come to Jesus (same voice as the Father, both are one). As I gave earlier, perfect example is in John 5:46. 100% failure rate when not learning from Father via Moses.
@Psychobobicus@god_came_down@Soteriology101@DineshDSouza Because there are two types of hearing. Someone can physically hear God's words (all Israel) without truly "hearing", understanding, or receiving them. This is why Jesus warned them "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear." Matt 11:15
