A Gen Z joined the team.
Week one.
During onboarding, the manager said,
“We sometimes stay late during peak periods.”
Gen Z nodded.
Then asked,
“Is that paid… or just expected?”
The room went quiet.
- No attitude.
- No rebellion.
- Just a question.
Later that day, HR mentioned “growth opportunities.”
Gen Z replied,
“Does growth include raises, or just more responsibility?”
Again, silence.
- No laziness.
- No entitlement.
- Just clarity.
That’s when the team realized something.
When people say
“Gen Z is lazy,”
what they really mean is:
Gen Z watched old generation
- skip meals,
- miss birthdays,
- work weekends,
- and burn out
only to be told
“budgets are tight”
and “be grateful you have a job.”
So Gen Z chose differently.
- They don’t romanticize overwork.
- They don’t confuse suffering with ambition.
- They don’t trade health for praise.
They still work hard.
They just refuse to work for nothing.
It’s not laziness.
It’s pattern recognition.
And honestly,
after everything old generation went through…
Can you really blame them?
Amendment Pitch: If the President & his Vice-President are both removed from office, the Presidency immediately defaults to The Pope, if he was born in America, till an election is held.
The BF6 Beta results were inevitable and this is the exact response I predicted. Open vs Closed Weapons was never a fair comparison when one playlist is buried, unexplained and hidden from casual players with a HULU style user interface... Of course most people stick with the default.
The Beta didn’t "prove" players prefered Open Weapons. It only proved how easy it is to steer data when you control visibility. One option was front and center with exclusive modes and the other was pushed aside with no context.
That’s not player preference. That’s rigging the outcome. You didn't discover what players want, you decided it. I'm excited for launch and I'll be playing a mix of both depending on the friend group I'm playing with but let's not pretend this "player driven data" was even remotely fair.
> make open and closed playlists
> hide the closed playlist on the menu
> don't include all the gamemodes on the closed playlist
> "more people played open playlist so we're confident that's the right way forward"
EA still gonna EA
@BattlefieldComm Open weapons Playlists suck and you'll never change my mind. Glad there are closed weapons playlists cuz thats the real battlefield experience.
