@AdeTinniswood@neiljeffares@NationalGallery She might get used to it, of course, and you would be forced to make constant caviar-bearing expeditions; and then again she might capriciously forsake her headdress and wander, naked and insouciant, beneath the Rokeby Venus...
Sometimes a small detail in a painting has as much or even more impact than the complete work itself ~ here’s the totally bereft Mary Magdalene lamenting the death of Christ, in a corner of Giottino di Pietro (aka Giottino)’s Pietà of San Remigio (1365) Uffizi, Florence
Four early coin portraits of Alexander the Great in my collection issued by his generals Ptolemy & Lysimachus after his death. Probably earlier than any surviving sculptural or painted portrait of him. What do you think they are worth?

I thank all Americans and all our partners who took this seriously and truly helped – members of Congress, senators, all the media, the State Department, and the President. Protecting lives matters.
@davided41633250@aniketos0 Possibly not, as I feel that you are bound to come up with Alexander, in the (unlikely) event that I could come up with more that £80...?
