#Ravens GM Eric DeCosta told @MikeSilver that at No. 14 he believed he had a trade in place that would’ve kept Baltimore in the teens while adding extra 4th-round picks in each of the next two drafts, but once on the clock, the other team unexpectedly backed out and altered the terms, leading the Ravens to pass on the deal.
Baltimore had three players they liked on the board: TE Kenyon Sadiq, DE Rueben Bain, and G Vega Ioane, who they ultimately selected.

Since Fernando Mendoza refused to run a pre-draft 40, as a former NFL Scout, I had to put a stopwatch to his only 40+ yard run of his college career (11/23/24).
Starting point: CAL 13
Ending point: Stanford 47
Distance: 40 yards
Mendoza’s 40 time: 4.92 seconds
The loophole that allowed the Raiders to get QB Kirk Cousins $20 million for 2026 while sticking the Falcons with $8.7 million should be closed. (It never should have been open in the first place.) https://t.co/i5w5pFfr10
Breaking: The Connecticut Sun franchise is being sold to the Fertitta family to bring the WNBA back to Houston for a record-breaking price for a WNBA team of $300 million, sources confirmed to ESPN on Friday.
This news was first reported by the PaperCity Magazine of Houston.
Dan Orlovsky’s point is we’re giving Fernando Mendoza too much credit.
Threw the ball a total of 86 times the final 4 games. Big 10 Championship through College FB playoffs.
It’s got a JJ McCarthy feel
"I was higher on Jayden Daniels than people were. ... I was higher on Jaxson Dart than people were. ... In my opinion, Ty Simpson's tapes are more impressive."
—@danorlovsky7 on how Ty Simpson compares to Fernando Mendoza 🏈
How can you hold only having 6 points heading into the 4th in the Big 10 title game against Mendoza but not acknowledge the 3 points Simpson scored Indiana?
"I don't want a quarterback who had 16 starts! History's on my side – I've gotta have at least 35 starts."
– DP on Dan Orlovsky saying Ty Simpson is QB1 in this year's NFL Draft.
