1000% - there are a couple other threads on here in other languages that make the same comparison. Wouldn’t surprise me if this idea also originated with that initial pitch to paramount, but JMS would know best.

@katienotopoulos as someone who worked at Starbucks as a teen in 1999 all through 2008, this part of your article on Starbucks really spoke to me. They didn’t even want people coming in with outside food because it “ruined” the coffee smell. Now the place smells of burnt food!

Couple the PPA process (shifting the burden to the person ticketed), the lack of evidence (PPA isn't deploying thousands of tint meters), and that temp tags, stolen tags, and obscured tags are routinely used to avoid paying, this is a money grab from normal working people.

I have a much bigger problem with PPA ticketing for tinted windows: PPA ticket and appeals process doesn't require the officer to appear and *takes as true* the remark on the ticket, shifting the burden to the individual ticketed to prove it is NOT true (continued) @FeatStinky

Re: tinted windows being ticketed. A LOT of cars have the fake temp tags and the VIN is not registered. Just like red light and speed tickets- THE LOSERS DONT HAVE TO PAY BECAUSE NOTHING IS LEGAL 😂🤣

A photo of tints doesn't actually accurately depict the tint on the day and time because depending on the lighting and time of day/night the tint could appear either over or under the limit, so PPA needs to have a window tint meter otherwise they're just eyeballing it (continued)

@straczynski I'm on my 5th rewatch of B5 and finally hit me what made it unique was the intersection of rich characters, political intrigue, war, and alien races incrementally reaching a crescendo as the series went on. Watched as a teen in first run. Even better now as an adult

Matter a fact I did hit my head 2X .. violently attacked , beat up , gun to my head , pleaded don’t kill me I have a daughter !! robbed on the streets of Philadelphia , they identified the 1st , cops said doesn’t matter Krasner will release them anyway .. you need to either get stabbed or killed for DA to do anything , police hands have been handcuffed since Krasner got in . The violent attack was shown on 6 ABC ( video ) but my name was kept out of the story So yeah Meg my head was struck .. 2X.. Folks that have violently attack do talk that way !! RT
