From Death Trap to Concrete Road: Governor Okpebholo’s Bold Rescue of Benin-Sapele Road
Following the termination of the previous contract by the FG, Governor Monday Okpebholo swiftly intervened and funded the reconstruction of approximately 23km of the most severely affected sections of the road.
The City Boy Movement welcomes the passage of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Alteration) State Police Bill, 2026, by the Nigerian Senate today, Wednesday, 24 June 2026.
Tinubu would have won still...just like he won the presidential primary without him.
All the alliances he built across Northern Nigeria, he built them without El-Rufai's input or help. They are allies he built before and after the formation of APC. Some, he already solidified during the SDP/NRC era and sustained them - the likes of Senator Haliru Dantoro (later Emir of Borgu), Senator Abu Ibrahim, RMK, etc. He got the Jagaban Borgu title through allies and friends he made in that 3rd Republic era.
Yes El-Rufai supported Tinubu going into the election proper. Yes he sued FG on the naira notes issue. Yahaya Bello and Matawalle did too. Ganduje voiced out too. In fact, Ganduje dragged Buhari when the news broke out that Ahmad Lawan was the consensus candidate of the party. El-Rufai's leadership in Kaduna APC delivered near 400,000 votes for Tinubu as against Atiku's 550,000 votes. Same leadership lost woefully 12 House of Reps seats to the PDP and LP while Kaduna APC won 4. Same leadership lost all the 3 senatorial seats to the PDP.
But you can't claim votes delivered by the likes of Aminu Masari, Zulum/Shettima, Inuwa Yahaya, Yahaya Bello, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak, George Akume, Al-Makura, Abdullahi Sule, Matawalle, Ganduje, Buni, Wammako, Yari, Bagudu, Lalong, Badaru, Lolo/Bago, and several others across Northern region vis-a-vis their respective states for El-Rufai. Let's not even talk about the hundreds of support groups well oiled by Tinubu and allies. They were on ground and they delivered.

Interesting video…
But, as usual, it is riddled with lies, inaccuracies, and falsehoods.
‼️Claim 1️⃣: The Commonwealth Scholarship Programme for Nigerians is dead.
False.
Nigerians received Commonwealth Scholarships in 2025, and applications for the 2026/2027 cycle were officially opened by the Federal Ministry of Education.
a) @FeranmiFerary and @Maazi_O on this app are Commonwealth Scholars.
b) Former BBNaija winner @itsLaycon was shortlisted for a Commonwealth Scholarship.
c) Chizoba Ejiofor, UNN’s 2025 overall best graduating student, recently secured a fully funded Commonwealth Scholarship.

Verdict: False ❌
‼️Claim 2️⃣: Egyptians offered to build a 10,000 MW Solar Power Plant in Nigeria for ₦185 billion (about $400 million at the pre-Tinubu exchange rate).
A lie.
The average cost of constructing a 1,000 MW power plant is approximately:
• Gas: $1.5–$2 billion
• Solar: $1–$2 billion
• Hydro: $2–$4 billion
Egypt’s Benban Solar Park cost roughly $4 billion to build & generates about 1,800 MW.
₦185 billion ($400 million) cannot build even a 500 MW plant, let alone a 10,000 MW one.
SMH 😏
Verdict: False ❌
FYI: Egypt’s Siemens power projects reportedly cost about $9 billion and added roughly 14,000 MW to the country’s grid.
‼️Claim 3️⃣: The President has 15 private jets.
False.
No Nigerian President, past or present, has operated a fleet of 15 private jets.
The Presidential Air Fleet consists of about 10–11 aircraft, including helicopters, not 15 private jets.
The approximately 20-year-old Boeing 737 (NAF 001), which suffered various technical issues, was retired alongside other aircraft.
One reason for the fleet reduction was the high cost of maintenance: ₦20.5 billion in 2024, compared with ₦14.7 billion in 2026.
The country purchased a newer presidential aircraft for about $100 million.
The Nigerian Presidential Air Fleet does not have 15 private jets.
Verdict: False ❌
‼️Claim 4️⃣: Air Canada aircraft are labelled “Prime Minister of Canada” and the labels are removed after flights.
😆 Amusing!
Canada’s Prime Minister is transported by the Royal Canadian Air Force, not by aircraft drawn from Air Canada’s commercial fleet.
The aircraft are military-operated and are not temporarily relabelled before and after flights.
The Royal Canadian Air Force provides the Prime Minister and other senior officials with nine aircraft: five Polaris jets and four Challenger jets.
The Prime Minister of Canada does not fly on Air Canada aircraft for official government travel.
Verdict: False ❌
‼️Claim 5️⃣: Nigeria is the third-largest buyer of Bombardier aircraft.
False.
There is no credible evidence that Nigeria is the third-largest buyer of Bombardier aircraft or private jets.
Nigeria likely does not even have 100 Bombardier aircraft.
Countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, India, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia have significantly more Bombardier jets than Nigeria.
Verdict: False ❌
P.S. Nigeria is also NOT among the top 20 countries with the largest private-jet fleets globally.
But @EmirSirdam was there exclaiming “hmm hmm” as he was fed lies. 🥲
LOL.
May God save us from misinformation and propaganda. 🙏🏾
P.S. Thankfully, he acknowledged that Tinubu was Chief Accountant at Mobil Nigeria before entering politics.
🙃✌🏾
Honestly, no one should placate those Kwara APC guber aspirants and others alike. If they like, they should not close ranks and unite to win the 2027 general elections in their State.
Look at Osun APC and the ones that left for Osun ADC. Also look at Oyo APC... They've been eating poorly baked bread without eggs or stew, of even tea or water. Dem no dey tell person.
Go and ask Adamawa APC people. Bauchi APC leaders too. Self inflicted defeat is usually fulfillng at the initial point when it was achieved and delivered. Months and years after, una eyes go see shege.
