@ColgateLW -pg 159 absolutely boggles me. Regardless it shows just how much of a caretaker Sahel really is even through events like the massacre and having to take the helm of the ship as the head of the family. (2/2)
@ColgateLW I couldn’t help notice that Sahel is taking care of Yaya in her paralyzed state when she isn’t even her own mother. Maybe this is something I don’t understand yet because I am young and have no in laws but the way she speaks about Yaya saying that “I am hers and she is mine”(1/2)
