@adamboxer1 I agree with you - I guess some students may need counselling. I always think behaviour can tell you a lot. But it doesn’t come at the expense of expectations of behaviour.

Tbh the most interesting bit of your answer is that you got excluded - what did you do?!

@VallanceTeach A really example of how this is all done is at Limpsfield Grange for example (specialist setting) - everything is clear / set at a high bar but there is flexibility with how that is delivered.

I’m probably ignorant of this debate tbh but I just don’t get it 🤷🏻‍♂️

@VallanceTeach Pt1/ I just can’t believe there is a debate tbh. Surely it’s a no brainier to:
✅high expectations
✅clear expectations for staff and students
✅Apply those relevantly to your own setting (flexibility)
✅Make reasonable adjustments if needed but not at behaviour policy expense

@adamboxer1 I’m ignorant to this debate tbh but surely the key is to do right by your own school community (whatever that looks like) , have high (and clear) expectations and go from there.

Just think it all sounds ridiculously conflated and confusing - but you know it is summer hols 🤷🏻‍♂️
