Only 3️⃣ things matter:
😮Find a marketable game idea which gathers wishlists easily
⚙️Hitting the high quality bar so you will get positive reviews/streamers
🤏Reducing/managing your games scope
@Unseen_Domains If you want to set better results, focus on step 1. Add a stronger hook, share WIP projects you want to finish and see what gets attention.
I think you mostly did step 2 already which puts you ahead of many developers nice work!
If you want to get out of early access do step 3.
@Unseen_Domains Your game looks fun and I like the art style a lot! I also released a pixel art platforming because it is the game I wanted to create with similar results.
@EXEcutionare@clemmygames I agree it is like crack probably why Mr Gabe is stinking rich. How many of those discounted games you bought were recently released? I am guessing most of them were at least a year old because they were so heavily discounted
@EXEcutionare@clemmygames Devs have been saying there are too many games for a decade now. Meanwhile as a PC gamer I feel like there are so few games that come out each year I ACTUALLY want to buy and play. Even though I am a dev that looks at hundreds of games a year searching entire market for gems.
