Last week, two of our HRC students were on placement at @TheHubVols and took part in Oldham’s Community Food Growing Project. They had a great time planting tomatoes, making a wormery and mowing grass to make 'mulch' to help potatoes grow.

A group of Mahdlo members planted vegetables in the garden at Mahdlo, and now they've picked them ready to be prepared and eaten by Junior and Senior Zone members.

Sadly the market garden site growing veg for @OldhamFoodbank has been vandalised for a second week. @NorthernRootsOL urban farm seriously damaged also.

Thanks to volunteers and pupils @BCOldham repairs have been to The Hub at Alexandra Park after it was vandalized.

However, the incident means the time spent preparing this week’s harvest for delivery to @OldhamFoodbank has been lost.
