Wow! Tesla is going to be busy for years! Plus the way moron truck drivers are smashing their rigs, even more will be needed to replace the smashed ones. Hopefully DOT will wake up and demand better licensing requirements and enforcement.

Tesla won the slot through an independently run competitive RFP, with bids scored on price, range, charging capability and production capacity. The alliance's ambition runs to 10,000 trucks and beyond.

Now here’s a great comparison of the Tesla Semi’s capabilities compared with a diesel semi. BTW - diesel topped $3.00 a litre here in British Columbia.
