The beginning of your story isn’t just about hooking your audience, it’s about setting the tone.
The audience is able to pick up on the quality, the type of artist you are, and the style of story they’ve signed up for all in the opening moments. Make them count.

JUST ONE GOOD SONG.
He has the expectation that 99% of what he makes won’t be good but if he can make one good song a month then by the end of the year he has an album.

That’s 35 hours a week writing and recording songs.
His goal is... 🧵
How setting deadlines helps you perfect your art 👌
Setting deadlines is an important part of your process as an artist.
Deadlines force you to confront your work and get clear on what actually matters 🧵
Striving for perfection in your art is a good thing but unchecked is when it becomes a problem.
It is when you are striving to perfect things that don't actually make your art better that it becomes a hinderance to getting your art in the world.
Promoting your art is just as important as making your art.
If you put in a lot of effort and no one consumes what you've made then there is no art, only effort.
"I was just like, if I play every night of the week, maybe two times a night, maybe three times a night, and I'm just doing that every day, eventually I'll get really good.
And that is what happened after a while.”
