In that situation, always structure the deal so most or all of his proceeds are held back (do an escrow agreement with your title company) until he does what he's supposed to do.

If you're going to sell him something else, make it two separate deals. Get your purchase closed first. Then he can use the escrow funds to close on his purchase from you.

When I was much younger, an authority figure in my life told me, “I only pray for the big stuff. What if God will only answer a limited number of my prayers? I don’t want to waste them on small things.”

I didn’t realize it until many years later, but this offhand comment helped stunt my relationship with God. It suggested there is a limit to the generosity of God. It played a significant role in throwing a huge portion of my life into spiritual scarcity mode.

I doubted God could.

I doubted that if He could, God would.

I doubted if He could, and if He would, God would for me.

What a sad destructive way to go through life. In James 1:6 it says, the one who doubts, “should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.” Overcoming doubt is one of the single best things you can do to open up spiritual abundance.

And let’s be crystal clear. God is lavish with His blessings.

Malachi 3:10 – “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”

God’s generosity knows no bounds. He wants to bless us abundantly. If you want to move from spiritual scarcity to spiritual abundance, you must remove the doubt.

If you doubt you can release your doubt of God’s love for you, model your prayers after the father in Mark 9 who so wants his son to be healed that he blurts out to Jesus, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

With a D head coach is that if you have success on O, you will constantly be searching for new O coordinators. Look what happened to then Lions when Johnson left. I would much rather be searching for be D coordinators than the opposite.

I wanted Beane gone too. But what kind of disaster could Terry Pegula have created if he had been in total control of selecting the @BuffaloBills next coach and a new GM?

At this point, our best case scenario may be Beane gets a strong offensive-minded coach hired and then turns the daily GM decisions over to one of the up-and-coming guys already in the front office.
