A few pregame Championship Saturday Thoughts
3/4 teams in title games are from northern schools - that rocks
The digital bloodlust some adults have for punishing teenagers is supremely gross
Regionality is what makes the tourney fun, not making it an end-of-season jamboree for the same 8-12 teams every year
Connor Hellebuyck:
Never played Tier 1.
Never played in The Brick.
Never played Quebec PW.
Never made a Development Camp.
Did play HS hockey.
Did play NAHL.
Did play NCAA D1.
Did win a Vezina.
Did win Olympic gold.
And yet we’ve got parents stressing over which 8U team

I’ve lived in Minneapolis for 12 years and have always felt safe in this community.
Since ICE arrived, that sense of safety has eroded — not because of our neighbors, but because of federal action that’s making us less safe.
It shouldn’t be this way. Our government shouldn’t be inflicting this pain on its citizens.
Dear national news outlets & journalists,
Please do better when it comes to identifying locations in the Twin Cities metro area. There are 182 communities (cities & townships) across 7 counties — it’s not all Minneapolis.
If you’re going to roll into town, not follow standard media inquiry protocols, & try to steamroll over hardworking local journalists at press conferences — at least get the location right.
Details matter. Now more than ever before.
Life as a Vikings fan right now:
-Aaron Rodgers wanted to play in Minnesota, wins his division.
-Bo Nix, taken one pick after JJ McCarthy, brings his team to the AFC Championship.
- Sam Darnold, who wanted to stay in Minnesota, leads the Seahawks to the NFC Championship game.
94% of teachers have had to dip into their own pockets to buy school supplies. An estimated 1 in 6 have second jobs during the school year to make ends meet.
The average Wall Street employee got a record $244,700 bonus last year.
Something has gone terribly wrong.
🚨 HOLY CRAP! Rep. Melissa Hortman sounded absolutely TERRIFIED while speaking to the media after she voted NO on healthcare for illegals
She was just ass*ssinated this morning.
She knew she’d end up as a target in one form or another.
Best path for MN HS Hockey kids, no matter what:
1. MN HS 4 Years-Play multiple sports
2. Junior's for 2 Years after
3. Go to College, get a degree. (Lean heavily on the alumni network)
