When I talk about “robotaxis”, I’m talking about vehicles like @zoox — which look like trolleys — running in a circuit w/ predetermined stops in the urban core.

1/5: Streetcars look cool and all, but I disagree with the statement in the article that said, “Everybody wants to be in a Brooklyn kind of environment.”

I live near 48th and Grover. We are witnessing developers (with the city’s blessing) cram apartment complexes…

5/5 …circulator than mass transit. The reality is that technology like robotaxis and robovans could serve the need for a fraction of the cost and be adaptable for key events and changes to the overall urban ecosystem.

And much easier to scale if the need arises down the road.

@SamHunterReads They really were able to put together complex scenarios. VORTEX by Larry Bond is also good (and takes place in a unique theater geopolitically).
