That’s just off the top of my head. I’d say a lot has changed in the last few years, none of it good. As far as I can tell, the dignity possessed by people like Jerome Bettis and Troy Polamalu appears to very much be in the rear view mirror. On and off the field, the Steelers have problems. And they are many.
@emorylevine Then what is it? Don’t be cryptic. Surely if Josh Howerton is really a charlatan and as bad as you and the mob say he is, you should have no problem citing several clear examples of this.
Lets play a game.
Two non Christians end up at two different churches hearing two different messages from two different pastors.
One hears a message where the pastor used ladders to make a point and it resonated so much that he ends up saved, completely changes his life, and begins his relationship with Jesus.
The other hears a stoic message. No theatricality, just a Bible and a pulpit. It resonated so much that he ends up saved, completely changes his life, and begins his relationship with Jesus.
Which one is "more saved" than the other?
This 100%.
Are there valid things and people to criticize within the Christian movement? Sure.
But this isn't one of them.
My guess is there are some genuine people out there who don't like Josh's preaching and are sharing their opinions in good faith, but if you made me put money on where the majority of the hate is coming from I'd bet it's from a lot of people with anti-Christian agendas who hate how well he is cutting through the noise and successfully sharing the Gospel.
I watched this full clip and unironically I can say it’s a great visual for an even better message. I really don’t understand the quarrelsome behavior some Christians feel the need to engage in on here.
Genuine question:
For all the critics and naysayers out there attacking Josh Howerton for his use of ladders during a sermon, what did he do wrong?
Legitimately asking, because I see nothing wrong with this at all. I see a guy using two ladders to illustrate a point about the Christian faith. A point that I think is correct and one he made very well.
Where's the outrage here? What am I missing? Did he do something unethical? Did he do something anti-Christian?
Someone explain it to me like I'm 5.
So he should just ignore it and pretend like it didn't happen?
Do we really think that there are any voters left that don't know we're in an active war with Iran?
Here's the bottom line imo. The reason why people are pissed about the war in Iran is because no one trusts the government, and rightfully so.
If you had undeniable inarguable evidence that proved that Iran was either really close to or already had a nuclear weapon and would have used it on the American people in the not-so-distant future, nobody would care that they were paying $5 a gallon for gas. Nobody would care because what's the alternative? We're all dead. I'd rather pay $5 a gallon for gas and be alive if those were my choices.
The problem is that no one believes those were the two choices. No one believes it was necessary to go to war with Iran because they don't trust anything that comes out of the government. That's the problem. No one believes it and then they're left to draw their own conclusions.
At this point it feels like Trump made a generational comeback. The Republican Party had full control and were essentially stomping the life out of the corrupt Godless Democratic Party and then started a war with Iran to appease the military-industrial complex. They're trying to make it seem like it was necessary because of a nuclear weapon that may or may never have existed and I've seen no good evidence to prove that this war was necessary.
I think Kennedy is an idiot but I think his point is: provide the proof, the undeniable proof that this war was necessary, besides just telling us that it was necessary. If you could do that maybe you could salvage the midterms.
This might be the worst advice I’ve ever heard in my life. It’s so bad that Kennedy has to be getting paid by democrats for this.
Yeah, let’s do a nationwide address a month before the election and focus on the war everyone hates. Brilliant stuff.
@pragmatic44444@Timcast@ryandepauloo I mean I guess? He 3bet cbet 70% in a 3 way pot, who cares. It feels like the least consequential action of the entire hand but sure let’s squabble over what is the most GTO bet size in a 2/5 live game. 🫡
