@drich82 Wow reading these replies is wild. I must be doing something wrong…or farming in the wrong area. Our operation is at about 4k acres/full time person & I can’t ever get caught up. two weeks of lighter work in Jul and maybe Jan to take a bit of time off. 10-14 hr day rest of yr
@TheDredMahogus@dustfrmer It’s been a tough spring. Like Cory said, with good fall moisture and an early warm spring everything was looking fantastic but April and May have been horrific for heat, dryness, and frost in between.
Bourgault guys using Greenstar-is there any way to make the x30 and 4640 communicate? Wheat are you using for your coverage trigger? We are currently using scv1 as our trigger but not ideal since it’s always engaged to run the 410 box.
@JLinvilleFert Been fertilizing since mid march. Still another month to go. At no point in time have I not been able to get what I needed. They are honoring my February price quotes as well.
I honestly thought I’d never see this drill make it here. Thanks to Truckwise from Tremonton Utah to do the task that many others said couldn’t be done👍
Anybody interested in a 2015 p500 drill? 40' x 10" spacing, 350 bushel 2 compartment cart, 2 years on new mudsmith 4.5" gauge wheels and atom jet scrapers 22k acres.
@SawyerWhisler Too many treat farming as a lifestyle and not a business. It’s no surprise that ag is always in trouble with debt, ROI, cash flow…and especially estate planning. ✋
@farmerjim79 Our nearest “dealer” is a JD dealer a couple hours away but they don’t stock any parts or have any knowledge on them. Found a great dealer in Spokane that we’ve been having things drop shipped from so far
@landon707 Preston is a great place (hard for me to say that with them being a rival sport town). There’re close to logan (big city) for shopping but still retain the small town feel. Very engaged community with a strong ag culture
