Meet Your Facilitator: Lawrence Akpoterai

Lawrence is a climate adaptation specialist with a Master’s degree in Climate Change Adaptation from the University of Nairobi. He is an alumnus of the Climate Leadership Fellowship and a recipient of the prestigious DAAD scholarship through the African Climate and Environment Centre – Future African Savannas.

His research focuses on climate adaptation and nature-based solutions, and he has worked at the intersection of research, advocacy, and program management. Lawrence also interned with the UNFCCC, contributing to the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples Platform under the Adaptation Division.

He is passionate about bridging science, policy, and community-driven solutions.
