Actually no you can not. You're simply choosing to read what YOU want to believe is being said. I swear to the gods you people are so concerned with being morally superior to everyone else, that you'd rather harass and pressure people into doing what YOU want them to do, instead of minding your own business and going on with your lives. The victims have already said that its up to us on if we want to continue playing or not. So if some people want to return, that's their choice. And if others don't want to return at all, that's their choice as well. It is NOT your place to make decisions for others. Christ on a stick, my guy. I'm done with this. I've said what I have to say on the matter, and I am in no mood to continue a debate with someone so closed minded. So genuinely, go argue with ya mama.
First off. I NEVER said that. So don't put words in my mouth. Secondly. One of the victims(Gary, I believe) has already said that it's up to us to think for ourselves from now on.
If you want to continue to boycott, that's up to you. But what everyone else does is none of your business, as long as its not harming anyone. Even Joji is content with the blanket apology, even if it still hopes for a private apology.
But I still stand by what I said. Unless you are a victim of qwel yourself, we are no longer a part of this. This is now between the victims and qwel, unless the victims themselves say anything else on the matter.
You know what? Heck it- I’m muting a lot of people who claim they’re doing stuff in the name of the victims and then proceeding to harass fans- especially attacking fan artists- literally no one benefits from this at all.
You’re an embarrassment to the victims cause.
I hope that you people who are still complaining about qwel apologizing to the victims privately. Do you not understand the word PRIVATE. It means WE ARE NOT A PART OF IT. This is between qwel and the victims now. The rest of the fandom just needs to back away from the situation from now on and learn to think for yourselves.
If it was simply because of the C&D, why hasn't joji deleted it's testimony either? Why delete anything if you truly believe you're in the right, and that nothing can actually be held against you? There's a lot of holes in this whole thing, the way I look at it, so please excuse me for being skeptical toward something that seems suspicious.
Besides that, in all honesty, I'm tired of this as well. I'm ready for this whole thing to finally be over so everyone involved can just heal and move on with their lives.
I stopped ignoring my intuition just because I couldn’t prove it yet. Every time something felt off, I eventually found out why. That’s why I don’t need all the answers right away. The truth always catches up to people.
It's genuinely better for you to think for yourself on this, rather than go off the opinions of others right now. Everyone is going to have their own opinion and bias on the matter. And half of the people who will tell you not to play have no right to do so. This no longer concerns us either way, now that qwel has stepped down until further notice. This is strictly something to be handled privately with her and the victims from now on.
One of the main things I got from this whole mess, was that people will immediately turn to herd mentality the moment someone is even suspected of being a "bad person", and half the time, a large chunk of the fandom will take things too far, completely losing the plot, and just follow the mob, rather than think for themselves.
Unfortunately, if that is true. Void can still get in trouble for this, because he leaked private messages.
Then again, if he wasn't in the wrong, why would he delete his Twitter and have his half of the testimony removed from the docs, if he didn't have anything to hide?
The whole thing is overall suspicious to me, and seems like someone trying to hide any evidence that could be used against themself.
And I won't accept the excuse of him stepping back from the situation, because the other victims also stepped back, but they kept their accounts and testimonies up for anyone to see.
Hot take:
Now that qwel has stepped down/stepped away from her position. A lot of you need to lose your herd mentality and learn to think for yourselves.
If you don't want to play dandy's world or support blushcrunch anymore, then that's your decision. But you DO NOT have the right to force or pressure others into not playing. It is not your place to make decisions for other people. And in my honest opinion, you don't really have to wait for the victims to make a decision for you, either. Right now, all the victims can decide is whether or not they choose to forgive qwel, if she reaches out to them with separate apologies. We are no longer a part of this, all we should be doing now is step back and let the victims and qwel handle this privately from now on.
