@sewistwrites@mirgray I’ve been very curious about historical clothes for babies. They grow so quickly, but it doesn’t make sense to me to make hand-sewn clothes in as many sizes as we have today. Was there a version of baby clothes that could grow with the child?
@LeahLibresco And the Catchy. When it first arrived I thought, I paid *how* much for a piece of plastic with some custom cut holes in it?! Some of the best money I’ve ever spent.
@courtneyellis Leepike World by @ndwilsonmutters has everything you mentioned! Young boy finds himself on an absolutely wild adventure that takes place entirely in the “real world.“ For but the same vibe but fantasy, the 100 Cupboards trilogy by the same author.
@sewistwrites This is why I have decided the Correct number of parents is 2.5. You don’t need 3 all the time (at least not for one child, which is all I have experience with), but 2 is definitely too few.
@MarkHeusden86@suzania@Plough Along these lines — what does Sabbath rest look like for unskilled workers, shift workers, etc and how can the Church support those who want to honor the Lord’s Day while working these types of jobs?
@DarbyStouffer The sheer joy in the room closing service with this today. 🥹 Also, it helped to end on an exciting hymn because the littles were starting to get antsy!
@sewistwrites No opinion on CoF but the 45-minute thing makes me feel so seen. I miss sitting and watching a whole movie (with maybe just a potty/popcorn break).
