He didn’t have a pro-bowl wide receiver for any of those seasons too.
There wasn’t a single 1,000 yard receiver on the Saints in 2008 when Brees threw for 5k
Jimmy Graham had 1,310 receiving yards when Brees threw for 5,476 yards in 2011. That’s somehow the most receiving yards a player has ever had during a Drew Brees 5k season.
Greatest of all time

This is sadly spot on. There are probably a bunch of promising young kids that will never get to highlight their talents because their parents can't afford travel soccer. We spend every 4 years doing this song and dance. It'll never change because it's too profitable as set up
hi! i’m one of those unknown English speakers. Telemundo has more energy and doesn’t cut away during hydration breaks. less importantly but also a factor, it doesn’t have Alexi Lalas, which is a huge plus.
Landing Mauricio Pochettino to lead the #USMNT was a triumph. Rehiring the coach who oversaw the most humiliating World Cup loss in program history would be indefensible. @FOXSoccer: https://t.co/8OXmtF20Xz
Thierry and Zlatan saying they wouldn't have become soccer players because of the costs of the American youth system, then seeing Lalas say it's a great system because it makes a lot of money for some people really sums it all up nicely
Time to re-float the idea that American pro soccer teams shouldn't be allowed to call themselves "FC" or "SC" unless they operate like an actual *club* by running free (or damn close to free) developmental youth teams for all ages.
