I'm a South Korean journalist based in New York City. This is a thread about what's happening in South Korea right now after the president declared emergency martial law.
Breaking🚨South korea declares "martial law" because opposition-controlled parliament is not doing what Yoon Suk Yeol
wants.
The country's president held an emergency meeting overnight before declaring the threat of power paralysis due to attempts to conduct impeachment proceedings against him.
He is accusing the opposition of anti-state activities, plotting a rebellion.
I just wanna become friends with a corvid. Where are all the corvids?! I know there's one at the place I take my dog to daycare, but I never have time to befriend it. Maybe I should just start bringing seeds and scatter a handful every morning...
Bad brain days are so rude. Even MORE rude are bad brain days when I did all the things I was supposed to do! I took meds! I went outside! I pet a dog! Give. Me. My. Happy. Brain. Chemicals!
Tbh there's nothing like a boss who just gets it. I had a minor meltdown in a meeting earlier this week bc anxiety, and after everyone else left the call, my boss sat there and did grounding techniques with me and told me to go take a minute. Like. THAT'S what support looks like.
My dog's ears stand straight up and sometimes when she sleeps, she's so still that just the force of her heart pumping blood through her veins makes her ears pulse to the beat of her heart and I just 🥺😩😭
