@MrNoyj The first few days are an exercise in confusion (my first day involved several rage quits ;) ), then it all clicks. Then there's a vertigo moment a couple of days after that when the absence of ads suddenly registers. A week in and I only partially miss twitter.

While I'm not quite at the point of deleting my twitter, I have effectively moved to mastodon and am enjoying my time there (after some initial confusion). I was umming and ahhing about leaving for a few years, recent events made it easy. I want to be far from the madding clown.

@Pens_n_Pixels Getting the hang of Mastodon. Bounced off it repeatedly in the first few hours, then I started to get it. It felt complicated and impenetrable when I first landed, but that's how I feel going anywhere new ;)

@keefstuart Not games, but I worked on Big Brother UK (the first one). We worked hard to build a scalable web backend, then, 10 mins after launch told to shut it down for 15 mins so they could press release it being "so popular it was overwhelmed". Ooof. My best to any dev fixing at scale <3
