Loved loved loved the mental health convo we had with @terrycrews. The whole episode is so empowering! We’re a new show and so shout out to Terry for taking the time to speak with us. If we help even just 1 person, we’ve made an impact.
“You define who you are.” @terrycrews talks about how incredibly important it is that professional athletes, and all individuals, have access to mental health professionals. Your self-talk is key 🔑 but so is getting help.

Your best athletes may look “fine” because they know how to perform under pressure. That does not mean they are okay. Treating them like robots is how you miss the warning signs.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health affects every person, whether you are dealing with a mental illness or everyday stress. We advocate for open conversations to support our community authentically.
In a grit & grind culture, you can take a step back. There’s a saying: Rest but don’t quit.
Keep showing up but don’t forget the rest part.
Rest isn’t a luxury. Disconnect to reconnect.
A lot of people are carrying things no one sees because they’ve become very good at functioning through it.
To those people I say: You don’t have to keep calling everything fine. It’s ok to take a pause & unload the heavy stuff.
Kevin Hart explains why you can’t live in the past
“Real reality is, no matter how much emotion and feeling you may have or how much hurt you may have, life has to go on”
“Life doesn’t stop for anybody. So if you don’t process that and understand that, you’re stuck in whatever time period you got hurt forever”
“So grudges and anger and negativity, I don’t have time for it because I’m living to do so much positive things”
“I’ve got such a positive outlook on everything else that’s coming in the future. I can’t stand in the past and bathe in what was wrong”
