Today’s adventure would have resulted in me paying 37% more for my purchase than the posted price had I not been paying attention, which is what you count on.

I picked up 8 bottles of Body Armor drink. The shelf tag listed them at $1.00 each (see all three photos).

I scanned the first one at the self-checkout register. It rang up at $1.37.

I complained to the helper. We walked together to the display.

She pulled out her scanner and scanned one of the $1.00 shelf tags. Her scanner showed $1.37!!!!!!

She agreed to adjust the price on all 8 drinks.

Just think of all those buyers who don’t pay attention.
