Was mostly religious or medical reasons in UK, but that weird American "should look like dad" (🤮) has started creeping over too. It should be banned, unless there's real medical need, and they've exhausted other options.

The tech already exists on devices - teach parents to use it, don't mandate it and hand the state control over it. That's not child safety, that's a backdoor to surveillance and forced ID. Today nudity, tomorrow whatever they (or a future gov!) decide is "harmful."

@tifagirlx It's actually why I have a scar, from a stab wound, in my abdomen. The person did not take kindly to someone politely intervening. So it became a lot less polite.

Still great friends with the woman I helped though. Would do it again if I had to (and these days, was able to).
