The oils in some stains & varnishes release heat as they dry. Oily rags left in a pile, a box, or trash can ignite hours after use. Dry them outdoors individually and place them in a metal can with water for disposal at a household hazardous waste event: https://t.co/q1z29vGwXj

There's no better way to celebrate America's birthday than the place where it all began.

The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular is one of Boston's most treasured traditions. And it only gets bigger and better every year.

From public safety pros on the front lines to behind-the-scenes crews, we’re all in to keep this holiday safe, fun, and unforgettable.
A huge thank you to our partners, @MassStatePolice, @MassDFS, @MassEMA, @FBIBoston ,@MassEEA, @MassDCR, @TheNationsFirst, @MBTA, @bostonpolice, @CambridgePolice, @BostonFire, @CambridgeMAFire, @BOSTON_EMS, and the @BostonSymphony, for their hard work in making this possible.

Remember:
🎇 Leave fireworks to the pros
💧 Watch kids closely near water
📞 Report anything suspicious
🥤 Stay hydrated

We are READY, Massachusetts! Let’s celebrate safely!🇺🇸
