@gabrielledisco I think technically the Yanks are right on this one. We also called it fall but slowly, after America was settled, the UK changed to autumn as the most commonly-used word.

But UK people using ‘gotten’ or ‘mom’, now that something deserving of a hard slap.

A common, and understandable, mistake with noise in the workplace is an employer getting the strongest hearing protection they can find as stronger must be better. The problem is, too strong tends to give less overall protection.
