Spent the day in Alberta's mountains.
Had tea overlooking a sublime view of glaciers, the Bow Valley, and Lake Louise. It was great, after getting some altitude and above the Lake, which was absolutely PACKED with foreigners.
Parking was impossible, so even the access roads were lined with wandering non-citizens abusing Mark Carney's Canada Strong Pass. It should be called India's All-Access Pass. Local Albertans can't use their own damn park, let alone other Canadians. Parking for Canadians was $40. FOURTY. It was free for the bus loads of non-Canadians.
To make matters worse, the abuse of the natural environment was unreal. Garbage in the trees. People ripping tree branches down to use as walking sticks. People screaming into a livestream on a quiet forest trail to their family back home.
America charges foreigners to go to Yellowstone and Yosemite. I can see why.
Total disrespect for the most beautiful place on earth, and for the taxpayers that pay to keep it that way.
Today, 18 million Canadians received a GST grocery rebate.
My family pays more GST than the average Canadian, yet we don’t get a dime back.
We’re apparently too “well off” to qualify, but not too well off to keep footing the bill while politicians spend taxpayer money like it’s monopoly money.
Make it make sense.
They spent $200,000 in catering on just three flights.
No that's not right. It's your money, you spent it.
This is why they can't let Alberta leave, they'd be eating Tim Horton's wraps in coach.
The Canadian 2026 Long Form Census asks tons of very personal, invasive questions. This is not unprecedented: the 2006 Census asked a lot of invasive questions as well.

BREAKING: Alberta will hold a referendum this fall asking residents whether the province should limit the number of new international students, temporary foreign workers and asylum seekers entering the province.
Premier Danielle Smith said federal immigration policies under former prime minister Justin Trudeau shifted focus away from economic migrants and instead prioritized international students, temporary workers and asylum seekers over skilled economic migrants, driving record population growth and placing unsustainable pressure on Alberta’s health care system, classrooms and social supports.
Alberta has added more than 600,000 people in the past five years and surpassed five million residents in 2025, according to Statistics Canada. Smith stated the pace of growth has strained housing, infrastructure and provincial finances, contributing to a projected deficit alongside lower oil revenues.
She said Alberta taxpayers should not be expected to subsidize federal immigration decisions through equalization and transfers while also funding access to what she describes as some of the most generous provincial programs in the country.
The referendum will ask voters whether Alberta should take greater control over immigration, restrict eligibility for provincially funded services to citizens, permanent residents and those with Alberta-approved status, impose residency requirements for social supports, charge fees to non-permanent residents for health care and education, and require proof of citizenship to vote.
Smith said the goal is to bring immigration to sustainable levels, prioritize economic contributors and strengthen Alberta’s authority
I’m immensely disappointed by the Alberta Teachers’ Association's decision to withdraw Paul Brandt as one of their keynote speakers at the North Central Teachers convention this past week.
Not only is Paul Brandt one of Canada’s greatest musicians, but his organization “Not in My City” has been leading the fight against sex trafficking for years— especially when it comes to endangering our children.
Standing up for the victims of sex trafficking is most certainly a non-partisan cause.
While the ATA searches for some sort of explanation as to why they cancelled his recent appearance to engage with teachers, I'd encourage all Albertans to learn more about the important work that Paul does by visiting his website: https://t.co/hXwMaRwmCf
Haha, get real, @jkenney you wouldn’t know Bad Bunny any more than you’d know Merle Haggard. You only comment on this to irritate your critics. We get it - you really don’t like US President Trump and anybody who might support him. But demonizing others to build yourself up is like building a home without a proper foundation. You can take issue with him all you like - many folks do - but labeling entire groups as far-right comes off as undignified, bitter, and childish. It’s not inspiring or motivating at all. You really should watch Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show honoring Charlie Kirk, with amazing performances by Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, and more. It’s truly uplifting and from the heart. Check out the recording here: https://t.co/rBCmoq5C1K to get a sense of real faith, family, and freedom. My family loved it and I’m damn sure that message resonates with more people than your new bestie Bad Bunny. 😉
