NEWS: The @IMFNews has confirmed that the UK is on the path to growth & that this government's actions have restored economic stability.
They also predict that the UK has stronger long term growth prospects than Germany, France, Italy and Japan.
Y'know, it's funny. There was no such front page in 2007 when Brown became PM without a vote (no GE til 2010) or in 2014 when @NicolaSturgeon became FM without a vote (no Scottish elex til 2016)
It's **almost** as if their pearl clutching sanctimony is actually partisanship...
Nuclear compliments wind and other renewables by providing reliable power when the wind speeds etc. drop.
Nuclear is far better for the environment than coal or gas. Bonkers that the Scottish "green" party and nationalists would block an essential piece of the net zero puzzle.
I'm delighted @EmmaMCurrie is running for SYC Chair. I met Emma when she joined @GUTories and it was clear she would go far.
With such a successful track record, she is definitely the right person to take the SYC forward. I look forward to voting for her!
Delighted to have been appointed @ScotTories Shadow Minister for Children and Young People.
This is a subject which I have learned a lot about as a Councillor in North Lanarkshire. I will hold the Scottish Government to account, especially in relation to 1140hours rollout.
Thank you to everyone who voted @ScotTories on the Central Region list.
Also, to all @ScotTories volunteers who helped with the campaign. This would not have been possible without you.
It is an honour to be elected as your MSP. I can’t wait to get to work.
Strange times. I didn't expect Nicola Sturgeon to endorse the 2014 No vote. Better late than never, I suppose... "I know Alex Salmond very well. He makes big claims which often don't stand up to scrutiny."
Here we go. Yet another round of "othering" just because someone hasn't drunk the SNP kool aid - Mike knows Fraser's a Scot that started as a Holyrood political reporter 20 years ago, became a Scottish political editor & has never stopped commissioning work on Scotland. Pathetic.
It appears that the First Minister would rather use her cosy spot on the BBC for her own political gain, than stay on an important four nations call which helps navigate the U.K. out of this pandemic.
