I was an engaged Democratic voter when the Republican Tea Party was born in 2009, lit afire by the election of a Black president. I watched it spend years cultivating bigotry, attacking institutions, fomenting hate against minorities, and holding its own party hostage with extreme demands, all before birthing MAGA, destroying the GOP, and remaking the country in its image.
So when I see the seeds of a "Democratic Tea Party" forming, I feel obligated to ask: have you lost your fucking mind?
Reactionary movements follow a pattern. They start with legitimate grievances, get fueled by rage against a common enemy, and end up consuming everything, including the people who started them. The Republican Tea Party is proof. It didn't save conservatism. It devoured it.
Now here's the part that's going to make some of you uncomfortable.
The energy I'm seeing in parts of this movement, like the obsessive focus on Jews, Israel, Zionists, treated as interchangeable targets...has a historical echo that should stop everyone cold. The Nazi party defied easy left-right categorization. It drew from across the political spectrum. What unified it wasn't ideology. It was a shared enemy: primarily Jews. That fusion of nationalism and populist rage killed 6 million Jews and cost tens of millions more lives in Europe and beyond.
I'm not calling anyone a Nazi. I'm saying the pattern, a political movement organizing itself around hatred of a specific group, is one of the most dangerous things in modern history. And I'm asking you to recognize it before it derails you, or worse, it defines you.
Reactionary politics has gotten too many people killed already. Please rethink the energy and goals of your political project before it's too late to course-correct.
🚨 Arkansas State Trooper Michael Austin Kennedy resigned after his wife filed 30+ screenshots of his white supremacist text messages in their divorce case including calling areas “N*GGERLAND” bragging about detained Hispanics as “trophies,” and pushing to repeal the 19th Amendment.
The messages to his wife Alana were packed with racial slurs against Black and Hispanic people, rants blaming “illegal immigrants” and Black people for traffic and crime, and extreme views like banning Muslims from America. One message read: “You don’t f*king hate them enough. The s*t that clogged up [their son’s] toilet is worth more to me than any of them.”
Kennedy also sent selfies posing with detained Hispanic individuals while on duty, calling them his “trophy.”
Alana amended her custody filing seeking sole custody. She stated his beliefs would “poison the minds of the children” and that the kids feared him because of his hate and irrational thoughts.
Kennedy resigned from the Arkansas State Police on May 15 shortly after the messages surfaced. In court papers he acknowledged the language but claimed it was “outdated” and didn’t reflect his values today after therapy and church guidance. Arkansas State Police reviewed his traffic stops and citations and said there was no indication his views affected his job performance.
A man sworn to protect and serve all citizens was privately holding this level of hatred.
What screening or accountability should law enforcement agencies have so white supremacist views like these don’t stay hidden until they surface in divorce court?
This was real cocaine! The Russian Orthodox Church has been hit by one of its biggest scandals in a decade
Czech police said that the powder found in the car of Metropolitan Hilarion of the Russian Orthodox Church was indeed cocaine, according to Deník N.
Today he was reassigned to serve in Brazil. That raises questions — a promotion to a region often described as a global hub for cocaine production?
His new posting is considered one of the key transit points for cocaine flows to Europe and Africa, where major drug trafficking networks operate.
Meanwhile, in Hungary, more than 500 kg of cocaine from Latin America was discovered today (video). The shipment was disguised as bananas from Ecuador.
This is the largest drug seizure in the country’s history.
Does this BS messaging work on anyone anymore? I'm genuinely curious.
It's not the "Deep State" attacking Pulte's appointment as DNI. Americans across the spectrum are alarmed because he has zero intel, national security, or military experience. We aren't safer with a housing finance guy overseeing ALL 18 of our intel agencies.
The law literally states: "Any individual nominated for appointment as Director of National Intelligence shall have extensive national security expertise." (50 U.S. Code § 3023).
Side note: no one is "terrified" of declassification. Tulsi had 1.5 years to declassify whatever she wanted and nothing happened. Look instead at who's defending this appointment — those are the actual grifters.
Russian warships only do this when they’re in extreme distress.

I will not follow the Democratic Party into the darkness of becoming Islamist-adjacent political movement with an Israel eliminationist goal. That’s my red line on the issue.
Good luck New Jersey.
You just elected a literal aider and abetter of Islamic terrorism on American soil. Someone who allegedly lied in court for the “Blind Sheikh” who was associated the 1993 WTC bombing and whose disciples assassinated Kahane.
🚨 The House just voted 218-204 to move forward on the discharge petition to provide military aid to Ukraine and impose tough sanctions on Russia. The House will vote on final passage tomorrow. This is our Churchill moment and we must pass the test.
Lovely. This guy spent 2 weeks behind bars after reaching a plea deal where he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of entering and remaining in a restricted building. This is a picture of him, in the burgundy shirt, holding a metal pole at the Capitol.
The Pentagon says this 40-person counterterrorism unit handles operations so delicate that every single position strictly requires a Top Secret security clearance. How in the world does someone who has a history of breaching the Capitol and deleting phone logs pass a federal background check, let alone obtain a Top Secret clearance???
It's unclear whether Irizarry actually has a Top Secret clearance yet, or whether he's operating on a temporary interim clearance while the admin pushes him through. Kinda like they did with Jared Kushner during Trump 1.0. In that case, career security experts actually denied Kushner's top clearance due to foreign influence red flags, but a political appointee stepped in & overruled them anyway.
Even with a 2025 presidential pardon wiping the convictions, the underlying conduct of J6ers remains. You cannot convince me that THIS guy is the best option we have for a role as critically important as this.
NEW! Rubio tells Senators that Russia will NOT achieve its objectives in Ukraine, and “they may not even be able to militarily EVER achieve the objectives they're demanding now in negotiations”
Says “not only are the Ukrainians bravely fighting, they're effectively fighting”

@joekent16jan19@RStatecraft I know it’s not the case given your service and patriotism, but if that weren’t the case, I would assume you were being paid by an American adversary to try to deprive America of state-of-the-art Israeli defense technology, like its laser missile defense system, Iron Beam.
Intertwining our defense technological development w/the Israelis, or any foreign nation, is foolish & dangerous.
Section 224 of the NDAA must be rejected.
My 1st article for @RStatecraft explains why: https://t.co/HUtS2qNITX
@NJ_T2H@joekent16jan19@RStatecraft Qatar and Iran are friendly in normal times, but the “push”we’re seeing seems mostly from the Iranian perspective — and now, we’re seeing the Russian influence movement trying to ramp up and dovetail.
@ChrisVanHollen Yesterday a foreign country took a US citizen into custody. Today you are treating it like a hostage situation. Hamas killed 46 Americans & took 14 Americans to Gaza. The first time you named an American held by Hamas was 10/20 & the next 10/28. That double standard, whew!
