At the AfricaX Summit 2026, hosted by the African University of Science and Technology @AUSTNigeria, @EyeCityAfrica was named the recipient of the AfricaX Innovation Impact Award.
The award was received on behalf of the organisation by our Government Relations and Partnerships Lead, Isaiah Ugwueke.
Through our Higher Education Institution (HEI) Innovation Practice, we work with over 300 institutions across Africa, alongside industry stakeholders and strategic partners, to strengthen innovation, enterprise development, and industry alignment within the higher education ecosystem.
This award is dedicated to the universities and partners who have shaped this work with us. It belongs to them as much as it does to us.
Sincere thanks to the President of the African University of Science and Technology, Professor Azikiwe Peter Onwualu, for his commitment to building the next generation of African innovators and for the leadership that made the summit possible.

If you are a creative entrepreneur trying to expand across Africa, this might sound familiar.
You want to sell in Ghana, Egypt, Rwanda, or South Africa, but several questions keep coming up:
- How do you identify the right markets across Africa?
- How can you validate demand before entering a new market?
- What should entrepreneurs know about navigating logistics and operations across borders?
- How do you adapt pricing and brand positioning for different audiences?
You are not alone. Many African creatives are ready to expand regionally but lack the practical guidance needed to navigate these challenges.
That is exactly why we are hosting “Bridging Borders - Creative Entrepreneurship Across Africa.” This session will explore what it truly takes to move from a local brand to a regional player, drawing on real experiences and practical insights from entrepreneurs and ecosystem leaders.

At Bridging Borders - Creative Entrepreneurship Across Africa, we will explore what expanding creative businesses across African markets actually looks like in practice.
If you are serious about growing beyond your home market, this session is for you.
