The greatest thing that happened to you is that you believed in Jesus.
The second greatest thing is that you're living for him.
The third comes from the second - your light would shine and the world would glorify your Father!
More good news.
Don Anele Munachimso also won gold in Science.
He is the best in world science.
Remember, he is the best in IGCSE Chemistry in Nigeria.
The investment is worth it.
Bruno Fernandes’s stats the last three seasons in the @premierleague alone:
136 chances created, 30 G/A
91 chances created, 18 G/A
114 chances created, 18 G/A
As an individual, he will be over fine sef. Insulting him na for engagement and cash out. Enjoy. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bruno Fernandes' performance for Portugal is yet another example of something I've said for years and I hope it's the actual base understanding of FT:
Players, even top players, even the all-time greats, are only as good as their coaches and team environment will let them be.
1 Corinthians 15:2 Paul knowing you’d try to twist the text goes the extra mile by adding “…unless ye have believed in vain.”
There’s no circling that.
Evidently a belief that is in vain is negated.
It is possible to have believed and it became a waste because it wasn’t kept.
The Ministry of Education has now contacted the National Mathematical Centre to request that it submit all national Olympiad competitions it organizes.
They want to start sponsoring all of them to the international finals now.
They have started contacting schools already.
This was abandoned in 2019.
I hope they don’t politicize it.
Our children need to shine on global stages.
🚨 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟: Statement from UEFA on FIFA overturning Folarin Balogun's one-match suspension:
"Yesterday's decision to suspend for a probationary period of a year the
implementation of the one-match automatic suspension following the red card issued to the player Folarin Balogun crossed a red line."
"Football, like any other sports, relies on rules, which are the basis for fair, honest and transparent competition. Sometimes rules are open to interpretation. In this case not."
"A minimum automatic suspension of one match following a red card is not a discretionary option and does not require the decision of a competent body to be enacted. It is a principle embedded in regulations, which cannot be made subject to exceptions, let alone in the middle of a tournament where several other players have been in the same situation and regularly served their suspension."
"When the certainty of rules is no longer guaranteed by its guardians, the integrity of the game is at stake and the credibility of a competition is undermined. Equally, such decision creates a precedent in the ongoing tournament, where similar situations will now require an equal treatment, to the detriment of the competition."
"Football is the most loved sport in the world because it is a beautiful game and is trusted because it is played everywhere with the same laws. A tournament is never a pure standalone and, if the tournament in question is the World Cup, it has the power to drive positive or negative consequences on the game as a whole."
"We express our disbelief at such an unprecedented, incomprehensible and unjustifiable decision."
Life is full of trade-offs. Every choice has a cost. When you say yes to one thing, you say no to others. This is how the world works. It’s like gravity. You can’t escape it.
Opportunity cost is what you give up when you make a choice. It’s the thing you can’t have because you picked something else. Say you have a free evening. You can work on your startup or go to a movie. If you work, you miss the fun. If you go to the movie, you miss the chance to make progress.
Every choice has an opportunity cost because every time you say yes to something, you’re implicitly saying no to other things. You need to know your opportunity costs. This helps you make good trade-offs.
It’s not always easy, but being conscious of the trade-offs you’re making can help you make better decisions.
Wisdom is anticipating the consequences of your choices. In life and business, success is about making good trade-offs. It’s not about having it all. It’s about having what matters most. We all value different things. That’s what makes life rich.
I learnt beadmaking during my NYSC days in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
So when I got back home after my service year, I started making bead bags, flower pots and matted bags for sale alongside applying for jobs.
For context, at the time, I was already a chartered accountant with a first-class degree in accounting.
My mum would tell her friends and colleagues about my little business, and they would place orders, and I would stay up all night making those pieces for them.
Then one day, something happened.
My mum got back from work, and she said, ‘Ore, one of my friends placed an order for a bead purse; please help me make it for her’
My dad, who was also there, got instantly furious, and he said: ‘This is not my vision for her life, stop bringing her these orders, I want her to focus on getting good job opportunities’.
That was a reset moment for my mum and me. We just quietly dispersed, and it was the last order my mum ever brought me 🤣
I then refocused my time and energy on the aptitude tests I kept failing, began passing them, and landed a bank role and later a PwC role to kick-start my career.
INEC Extends Continuous Voter Registration by Two Weeks, Introduces Online Self-Service Option for First-Time Voters
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced a two-week extension of the nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise and the launch of a new online self-service registration platform for first-time voters.
Originally scheduled to end on Friday, 10th July 2026, the CVR which began on 18th August 2025 will now run until Friday, 24th July 2026. The extension follows a review of the exercise and feedback from INEC state offices, political parties, civil society organisations, and other stakeholders.
In a statement on Friday, INEC said the additional time is aimed at giving more eligible Nigerians who are yet to register a fair opportunity to be included in the Register of Voters ahead of future elections.
New Self-Service Online Registration
In a major innovation, INEC will from Wednesday, 8th July 2026 introduce a fully online self-service registration option for eligible first-time voters. The service will be accessible via the Commission’s dedicated portal: https://t.co/RYOWyCTZzK.
According to INEC, the new system will allow eligible citizens to complete their voter registration including biometric capture using their personal devices from anywhere, without visiting an INEC office. The platform incorporates robust identity verification, biometric validation, and backend checks to maintain the integrity of the National Register of Voters.
“The extension underscores the Commission’s commitment to ensuring that every eligible Nigerian has a fair and reasonable opportunity to be included in the Register of Voters,” the statement said.
INEC urged unregistered eligible citizens to take advantage of both the extended period and the new digital option.
“The Commission remains committed to a credible, inclusive and accessible voter registration process, and to advancing the use of technology to improve citizens’ experience in the electoral process,” it added.
I received the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Tunji Disu @TunjiDisu1, at the State House earlier today, where we had an extensive discussion on the security situation in Osun State ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
During our meeting, I reaffirmed my administration’s zero tolerance for violence, thuggery, and all forms of electoral misconduct. I made it clear that anyone found culpable, regardless of status or political affiliation, must be arrested and made to face the full weight of the law.
I am encouraged by the assurance of the Inspector-General of Police that the forthcoming election will be peaceful and that the Nigeria Police Force will remain professional, impartial, and apolitical before, during, and after the election. I equally reaffirmed my administration’s commitment to working with all security agencies to ensure a peaceful, free, and credible electoral process in Osun State.
This Poortugal team is a team of bums that are so lucky that Ronaldo gets all the heat when they play poorly. A 40 year old Modric has bossed the midfield that had Bruno Fernandez, Joao Neves and Vitinha.
