Jakks Sonic the Hedgehog 35th Anniversary 6-inch Modern Metal Sonic is in stock at GameStop ($54.99) - https://t.co/1AzRZRQnNr #ad

[GamesCage - SpoOoky Guy @GamesCage_]

On a positive note, ik the anniversary hasn’t been the HUGE OH MY GOD OWAAH mainline game aaa event ppl wanted but we’re only halfway thru the year and :

> Chaotix Case files
> CrossWorld Year 2
> Pico Park Sonic
> MEGA Charity stream
> Sonic animated series coming
> Frontiers DE (leaks aside, was meant to be a small live drop)
> New Sonic concert dates
> Featured fans Artwork, new song remixes coming, 35th anniversary comics etc.

I feel like they’re spreading stuff throughout the year rather than one big moment, and im pretty happy LOL

🚨 do you understand what happened to "Michael"..

> critics attacked the film
> for not including the allegations
> then Spike Lee stepped in with one simple point:

"The movie ends at ‘88. The stuff you’re talking about, accusations, happen [later]"

"So you’re critiquing the film on something that you want in, but it doesn’t work in the timeline of the film"

> you can't criticize a timeline
> for not traveling into the future
> people still showed up.
> worldwide.

Because controversy trends.
But Michael Jackson still sells.

[Variety @Variety]

Spike Lee defended "Michael" from critics who think Michael Jackson's child sexual abuse allegation should have been included in the film:

“First of all, if you’re a movie critic, and you’re complaining about the stuff— all this other stuff— but the movie ends at ‘88. The stuff you’re talking about, accusations, happen [later]. So you’re critiquing the film on something that you want in, but it doesn’t work in the timeline of the film. But people showed up. Worldwide, people showed their love.” https://t.co/r0hMTdPZC7

Japan’s government is firmly rejecting foreign efforts to censor anime and manga.

At the NicoNico Chokaigi convention, Minister Kimi Onoda declared that the global success of otaku culture comes purely from the passion of its creators and fans, not from politicians or outside influence.

A known otaku with production experience, she promised the Japanese government will never interfere in creative decisions and will actively shield artists from any foreign complaints or pressure.
