@kikoscasino Tbf... That stuff was done TO them. Imagine being hired to an agency and forced to undergo surgeries and legal name changes, because "player wanted a man this time". You'd probably keep going by she/her just out of spite.
@YAOIPATHIC It's like... Even if it was adults in their 30s, it would still be horrifying? The pedophilic nature of it just make a deeply dark thing even darker
@goof_iest My step mother who works with autistic people, said that to me. And I just lied saying 'yep I don't know how to lie" 100% thinking it'd probably be convenient in the future for her to think that... honestly might be a stereotype started by autistic people lol
@Firezstarter1@Ganglosaxonnne@yajnadevam But the question is not about the effectiveness here, it's basically a question of intent and purposefull design. I can smith a sword, exclusively made to go to war with, but against the modern US military it might not be that effective
@GayBearRes From what I have heard, the reason for the firing wasn't just that the tech failed, but that the HR-team had covered up a mistake, basically shrugging and saying they couldn't find a position, knowing that they had actually just f'ed up with the tech
@Dexerto@MrBeast@teamseas Nothing against mr beast. But that is nothing. Seems like a huge number. But estimates for yearly dumping of plastics into the ocean is in the billions of pounds, not millions.
One estimate at 33 means that he has removed just one percent of one year's dumping
@ManyATrueNerd I actually got confused, because the notification had Claire's thumbnail, but the subscriber page had the game's. I just assumed you had updated the thumbnail
@hellosephi I feel you. It can hit a bit hard on one's confidence, especially if you are already going through a tough time. In my experience at least.
Hope you are doing alright Seph. Just try to remember that it is a silly though
@eventualforever It doesn't say you don't have any emotional reaction though, it says that you don't feel attached to anything specific. It's a dehumanising and enstrangering shot, right?
@ManyATrueNerd Additionally game design is very iterative in nature, so there MIGHT be an underlying acceptance, that all designs are inherently inperfect. Having different designers all experiment with the same overall design is just a way to refine it overall.
@ManyATrueNerd I would theorize that it's in part due to the complexity of the medium. Small changes to a design, even just playing around with the numbers, can create a very different end product. This is especially true for video games with complex intertwining systems
