@LinkofSunshine Well, it is because hot air changes the buoyancy. The upward force of the balloon is still due to the surrounding air as it is an open system. Thus, it does not violate physics.

@Darcy_war @DrewPavlou I assume he means Landlords of the feudal age, because Adam Smith was a classical free market economist. So he was arguing that the Landlords were basically freeloaders and a detriment to prosperity. Many modern landlords are like that but others are not.
